Kay Crescent
Kay Crescent provides a large area of open space within a residential area to the south-west of the town. The site has a set of mature and semi-mature planted trees encircling the grassed area. Unfortunately some of these trees will need to be removed due to disease but the long-term plan is to replace any trees that need to be removed in order to complete the circle whilst adding both diversity and interest.
The site will also benefit from a spring bulb planting programme. The Council currently maintains the grassed area in a short condition to allow for freedom of use, but an idea for the future is to leave some small areas to grow longer, as this would provide a diversity of habitat for any passing wildlife.
