Situated near Bodmin’s Military Museum, Coldharbour is one of the town’s great success stories. Home to Bodmin Youth Football Club, the site is run by a team of dedicated volunteers and is currently used by around 300 youngsters from the local area – although this number is set to increase.
The site itself consists of two main pitches, with a section for five-a-side, and training areas. The Town Council currently maintains the pitches and has undertaken works to improve the playing surfaces. This work is seasonal and ongoing and is hoped to make a difference with the health of the playing surface. This type of open space is a great asset to the town allowing children to exercise and feel part of a team in a safe, well-organised and cared for environment.
