Fees, Payments and Sums fixed and settled under Section 34 of the Burial Act, 1852 and by the Town Council under Section 214 of the Local Government Act, 1972
Fees are payable in advance to Bodmin Town Council, Shire House, Mount Folly Square, BODMIN, Cornwall, PL31 2DQ.

A PARISHIONER will be defined as a person:
a. normally resident within the Bodmin Parish Boundary
b. normally resident within the Bodmin Parish boundary within FIVE years of the date of death
c. who purchased the exclusive right to the grave space whilst a resident
d. who purchased the exclusive right to the grave space at non-parishioner rates BEFORE the death of the person/s to be interred.
In addition, the interment of ashes on a previously purchased grave space will be charged at parishioner rate.
INTERMENTS OF NON-PARISHIONERS WILL BE PERMITTED ONLY IF A CLEAR CONNECTION WITH BODMIN CAN BE PROVED AND IN ALL CASES THE EXCLUSIVE RIGHT MUST BE PURCHASED

Fees applicable as from 1st April 2023 include digging the grave to a depth of TWO metres
The Exclusive Right of Burial MUST be purchased in all cases.
Interment of the body of a child NOT exceeding 18 years:

The Exclusive Right of Burial will apply for 50 years. At the expiry of this period there is the option to purchase an extension to this right in 10 year increments, up to a maximum of 100 years. The extension will be charged on a percentage basis of the cost of Exclusive Rights at the time of extension.
Garden of Remembrance
These fees include the exclusive right of burial of cremated remains and permission to place a flat tablet of suitable stone 18” (0.46m) x 15” (0.38m) for a single grave space or 18” x 30” for a double grave space (side by side) with or without a flower container, to be laid portrait fashion. No other style will be permitted.
Stonemasons and undertakers are asked to inform their customers that freestanding vases are not permitted and will be removed.
An application form is required for a memorial, in addition to the notice of interment of ashes, though there is no additional fee.

Memorials
The fees below include the FIRST inscription where applicable and are in addition to the fees charged for interment and the purchase of Exclusive Rights. The cost of permission for a memorial in the Garden of Remembrance is included in the interment fees.
Stonemasons are asked to inform their customers that freestanding vases are not permitted and will be removed.
NEW CEMETERY
Lawn style memorials only, which may include integral vase (Kerbs, border and footstones are not permitted). NO flat tablets may be placed in the grave.
