Well done, Bodmin!
£1,280 was raised for the Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal
Bodmin Town Councillors organised a Charity Bingo evening in the Shire House Suite on 23rd March to raise funds for the Ukrainian appeal.
We were overwhelmed by the generosity of residents and businesses who donated so many lovely prizes. The event was very well supported and we would like to thank everyone who came along and took part, many of whom returned home laden with fabulous prizes.
Everything for the event was donated from prizes, bingo tickets, refreshments, proceeds from the bar, even the cost of room hire. This meant that every penny raised could go to the Ukrainian appeal.
Together we raised a total of £1280.00 which will be paid direct to the Disasters Emergency Committee Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal via the Post Office.
Our wonderful residents and Businesses came up trumps.
Thanks to organisers Cllr Mike Barbery, Cllr Karen Phillips and Cllr Liz Ahearn. Special thanks to Mike Barbery for being our caller for the evening and for covering the cost of room hire, also to Bodmin Rugby club for running the bar and donating the proceeds.
A big thank-you to all our generous supporters for their donations:
