Bodmin is very fortunate to have the first permanent safety centre
in the South west Situated on the Walker Lines Industrial Estate, the
Flashpoint Centre provides a good number of interactive sets designed to
resemble everyday scenes. Visitors can safely experience what it can be
like to encounter real life situations and learn how to deal with them
such as what to do in a road traffic accident, what it feels like to be
trapped in a fire and other difficult and frightening situations. The
Centre aims to equip everybody, regardless of age, with such life skills
and works in partnership with the Police and Fire Brigade and both are
available to offer further advice.

Bodmin Youth Project is a registered charity that works with young people between the ages of 11 and 25. Most of the young people who are part of the project are between 11 and 19 however older members have been known to become volunteers for the project.
It is funded by the Joseph Rank Benevolent Trust, Cornwall Youth Service and Bodmin Town Council. Here young people are able to question Town Council members on their proposals for young people within the town.
